ASICS Transforms the GEL-Lyte III Into a Rugged Mid-Top
Introducing the GEL-Lyte III MT.
Your average sneaker can’t hold up to the unpredictable weather that comes with the transition into the fall and winter seasons, hence updates like Nike’s annual SneakerBoot offering. Now ASICS is getting in on the action, transforming one of its most popular silhouettes — the GEL-Lyte III — into something you can wear in the months ahead, elements be damned. Aptly dubbed the GEL-Lyte III MT, the new design retains the retro runner’s usual aesthetic and signature split tongue, but adds an inner sleeve to go along with the ripstop mesh that handles areas like the toe box’s construction.
Expect at least two colorways of the brand new MT to touch down at spots like asphaltgold later this month.
