Italian Legend Andrea Pirlo Gets His Own Nike Tiempo

Following a storied career with the likes of AC Milan, Juventus, and his own national team, Italian legend Andrea Pirlo is not only now one of the biggest stars in MLS, but a pretty good winemaker, too. So, to celebrate his dual careers, Nike is hooking Pirlo up with his very own version of the latest Tiempo. Crafted in a gorgeous merlot colorway of luxurious Algeria leather, the design comes built atop a star white sole and includes the likes of four gold stars on both the heel and plate as a nod to the logo of Pirlo’s winery, Pratum Coller, which is itself inspired by Italy’s four World Cup titles. Other touches include the likes of the Italian flag on the aglets, as well as genuine cork insoles customized with an “Aged Since ‘94” graphic.

Look for the limited-edition Tiempo Pirlo to be available via nike.com on September 19 in both on- and off-pitch form.
