Streetsnaps: CIFF Copenhagen Fashion Week August 2016

The Danes teach a lesson in monochrome minimalism.

A new season marks another showing of the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF), and this inevitably means a parade of Denmark’s most stylish on the streets of the City of Spires. While unseasonably frigid weather kept many swathed in layers for the duration of CIFF (from August 10-12), brief interludes of sunshine allowed the Danes to do what they do best — minimalist, monochrome styles mixed together in a carefree fashion with subtle statement pieces. Bikes were, of course, as much a part of the outfits as any accessory, given the prevalence of cycling thanks to the Copenhagen’s exceedingly flat topography.
