SneakersBR and Rider Team up on a Collection of Slides Inspired by Four Decades

Brazilian sneaker publication SneakersBR has teamed up with homegrown heritage sandal brand Rider on a collection of slides perfect for the summer. A traditional brand founded in 1986 with roots that date further back than the first pair of adilettes or Nike Benassi, Rider’s sandals are simple and functional. For the project, SneakersBR came up with four iterations, all inspired by different decades. The first is an “OG” version, paying homage to the first pair of Rider sandals ever produced, with blue, red and white hues. Second up is a pair that nods to the 1980’s, with TRON-inspired graphics that glow-in-the-dark. Thirdly is a pair inspired by 1990s running shoes, decked out in mesh, suede and Velcro. Lastly is a 2000s iteration inspired by minimalism, and finished off with gray and volt details, and reflective 3M accents. Each pair is packaged in a special box with release dates spanning over the next few months for each pair.
