Sneaker App GOAT Raises $5 Million USD Investment
The reselling platform hopes to convert resellers accustomed to eBay.
Sneaker reselling app GOAT has raised $5 million USD in a new round of investments led by Matrix Partners. The relatively new app has already been on sneakerheads‘ radars, having offered rare kicks – such as Kanye West’s Yeezy Boost 350s — at retail prices in an effort to get people to download the app. Now, GOAT has over 10,000 sellers on its waiting list, with new users being added slowly in an effort to maintain quality. Those who want to sell sneakers on the platform need to send their goods to GOAT’s headquarters for inspection, where employees can verify they’re not knockoffs. When a sneaker is bought, it is sent directly from the warehouse. Have you tried using GOAT?
