Windows 95 was a cultural phenomenon in the nostalgic days of computers, and now Moscow-based designer Misha Petrick shows us what Instagram would have looked like on our “favorite” operating system. Taking us back more than 20 years ago, Petrick showcases what the popular app would have looked like with those mid-’90s aesthetics, 8-bit graphics and pixelated MS sans serif fonts. Check out the animated GIFs which illustrate the different aspects of Instagram. Everything, including the filters, are styled from a bygone time breathing the spirit of the long lost operating system.
