Filson’s latest collaborator is a familiar face. The heritage brand has tapped Smokey Bear to front its latest watch, as a homage to all the industries and organizations Filson has partnered with who work in the woods. Smokey Bear is a classic American cartoon mascot who was created in 1944 to educate the public about forest fires. The amiable character is etched into this limited edition watch in an off-white color, alongside his motto, “Only You Can Prevent Wildfires”. The watch’s black face is offset by a silver case, and a classic brown leather band provides the finishing touch. Each timepiece comes in an individually-numbered box and a certification of authenticity, in addition to a book that tells the story of Smokey Bear and Filson’s relationship with the outdoors.
