Astronaut Buzz Aldrin Partners With OMEGA to Design a Watch That Will Travel to Mars
A coveted accessory for all you space nerds.
Though most of us are still waiting for jet packs to be the norm, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second human being to ever step foot onto the lunar surface, is teaming up with OMEGA to design a watch that will travel through space and head for Mars. Aldrin tweeted two pics showing him sketching the beginning stages of the timepiece, and one of him with a high-ranking OMEGA official. These photos could mean many things, one being we may have a next-generation Speedmaster in the near future, which will in some way be designed by a living legend. However it seems that Aldrin genuinely believes that mankind will succeed in traveling to Mars, as his tweets featured the hashtag #GYATM, which stands for “Get Your A** to Mars.” Check back for more updates on the watch.
