Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars Takes the No. 1 Spot on Billboard Hot 100 With "Die With a Smile"

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars‘ “Die With a Smile” has hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Having released back in August, the ballad marks Gaga’s sixth Hot 100 song and Mars’ ninth.
Back in November, the song peaked at No. 2 for four weeks on the Hot 100 after it debuted as No. 3 when it first released late August. A week after holiday songs took over the top 10 socks, the top titles of returned to the region between December 27, 2024 and January 2, 2025. The song heads back to the list in its 20th week, leading the Hot 100 and wrapping up Teddy Swims 32 weeks a the top with “Lose Control.”
Gaga has earned multiple No. 1s on the Hot 100 in the past three decades. This song marks her second song to lead the list in 2020s, and two each in the ’10s and ’00s. This is Mars’ second Hot 100 leader this decade after “Leave the Door Open” with Anderson .Paak as Silk Sonic in 2021. The Hot 100 also saw BLACKPINK member ROSÉ’s hit song with Bruno Mars “APT” soar from 34 to No. 5 on the Hot 100, surpassing its No. 8 peak. This week, “Die With a Smile” totalled 59.7 million radio airplay audience impressions, 27.1 million official streams and 6,000 sold in the U.S. this past week.
