'Trainspotting 2' Films in Edinburgh With Ewan McGregor and Ewen Bremner
Renton and Spud are still on the run.
Director Danny Boyle and actors Ewan McGregor and Ewen Bremner were spotted in Edinburgh yesterday filming Trainspotting 2, the sequel to the 1996 cult classic. A teaser trailer was posted earlier this year confirming the original principal cast and crew. McGregor and Bremner reprised their roles as Renton and Spud, appearing to recreate the iconic opening scene from the film where they are chased down by cops along Princes Street. Boyle revealed that the script of the upcoming movie is based on Irvine Welsh’s book Porno, the sequel to the Trainspotting novel. Be sure to catch T2 in theaters starting January 2017.
