Robert Geller Is Picture Perfect for 2017 Spring/Summer
Inspired by the Neue Deutsche Welle movement.
German-born designer Robert Geller’s latest collection at New York Fashion Week: Men’s draws upon the creativity of Berlin’s Neue Welle art and music scene, citing groups and artists like Einstürzende Neubauten as inspirations. Models walked the runway in youthful, exuberant outfits that featured sleeveless biker jackets, floral vests and leopard-print jumpsuits; these were accessorized with neon pink belts, fur pom-pom keychains and Polaroid photographs, as well as record bag totes. Geller’s footwear included strapped high-top sneakers and strapped patent leather dress shoes.
