Pieces of Prince memorabilia have far exceeded asking prices at auction: a ruffled ivory silk shirt and blazer worn by the late, great Purple One in Purple Rain have fetched $96,000 USD each at at California’s Profiles in History.
According to The Guardian, other items that have sold since the Artist’s passing last month include high-heeled boots from the Lovesexy tour ($17,900 USD), a necklace from the “Diamonds and Pearls” music video ($8,000 USD), and a Yellow Cloud guitar sold to Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay for $137,500 USD.
