Oak Street magazine is readying for the release of its fifth issue, which is slated to hit stands on July 11. This issue is dedicated entirely to Los Angeles, its residents, expats, ambassadors, et cetera. The issue contains an interview with skateboarder and Bianca Chandon designer Alex Olson on his experience as an LA expat living in New York, tattooist Dr. Woo speaking on the city’s ink scene throughout the years, and a cover story that looks at Vans’s half-centennial legacy, including quotes from Steve Van Doren, Taka Hayashi and cover star/skate legend Tony Alva.
