'King Arthur: Legend of the Sword' Debuts at Comic-Con
Guy Ritchie combines this classic medieval tale with fantastical elements.
Just unveiled last night at Comic-Con is an all-new interpretation of the tale of Excalibur in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the Warner Bros. film casts Charlie Hunnam as the titular Arthur, who grows up a street-smart youth in the back alleys of Londonium. When he encounters Excalibur in the stone and is the only one capable of removing it, he is instantly catapulted into the thick of a fantastical war with his evil uncle and tyrant Vortigern (Jude Law).
With the help of Guinevere (Astrid Berges-Frisbey) and Bedivere (Djimon Hounsou), follow Arthur as he journeys to reclaim the crown for himself. King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is expected to hit cinemas next spring.
