In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Japanese boutique retailer BEAMS has linked up with G-SHOCK for a special edition G-001 watch. Based on the 1994 classic DW-001 model nicknamed the ‘Jason’ for its resemblance to the antagonist’s hockey mask in Friday the 13th movies, the watch features a strictly grey palette, while the BEAMS logo is evident on the metal back as well as on the EL backlight function.

The watch itself features a flash alert with buzzer for the alarms, hourly time signal, countdown timer time-up, countdown timer progress and stopwatch auto-start. It also has world time, three alarms with one snooze alarm, auto EL backlight with afterglow, and an estimated seven-year battery life.

Pre-order the BEAMS x G-SHOCK G-001 40th Anniversary ‘Jason’ watch online at BEAMS, and look for it in-stores this August.
