FX Teams up With Marvel for the New Drama Series Legion
The original 1985 Marvel character gets brought into a whole new world.
American television network channel FX has teamed up with Marvel to release a new comic book hero – an antihero rather – series called Legion, eponymously named after the Marvel character. First introduced within the X-Men universe back in 1985, Legion–real name David Charles Haller–is the son of Professor X and Gabrielle Haller, and the “most powerful mutant ever,” but comes with a psychological catch. Haller is played by Downtown Abbey‘s Dan Stevens, who is cast alongside Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart and Rachel Keller, and the show itself is produced by Fargo’s Noah Hawley – so there’s definite cause for anticipation. While news about the series has already been circulating, the official first trailer for Legion has just been released. Watch it above, and stay tuned for more on the series and its release to come.
