Donald Glover Can't Get Any Sleep in the Latest 'Atlanta' Teaser
The multitalented artist’s latest project finally gets a premiere date.
Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, has been quietly reemerging these past couple of weeks: first, he released an app, PHAROS Earth, that featured a cryptic countdown to reveal a new album and exclusive live concert experience, which will take place in California’s Joshua Tree national park. In addition to his musical pursuits, Glover has also landed an FX series, titled Atlanta, described thusly:
Starring and created by Donald Glover, Atlanta revolves around two cousins on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene whose opposing views on art versus commerce, success and race will make their quest anything but easy.
While the show’s teasers have previously featured reverse footage of Glover and co. ambling the streets of the ATL to Tame Impala, the newest teaser switches things up: this time, Glover can’t seem to catch any sleep. Flume’s “Sleepless” soundtracks the spot, naturally. The teaser also reveals that Glover’s character may or may not be named Earnest.
