Alexander Wang to Collaborate With adidas on a New Line

WWD announces today that Alexander Wang will follow in the footsteps of Yohji Yamamoto, Kanye West, Raf Simons, Stella McCartney and Rick Owens as the next fashion designer to collaborate on an adidas line. Given Wang’s sportswear-infused collection with Swedish retail giant H&M in 2014, we’re hopeful this new partnership with the Three Stripes will be more than fruitful; let’s see how this fares in comparison to Olivier Rousteing’s NikeLab collaboration.

Sources speculate the project to debut after Wang’s forthcoming September 10 show at New York Fashion Week. Both adidas and Alexander Wang reps have not commented on the announcement.
