5 Patriotic Sneaker Drops for Independence Day 2016
Festive colorways to kick off your work week.

With all the Independence Day festivities over and done with, what better way to kickstart a work week than to cop a pair of new kicks. To help get over the nostalgia of family BBQs, cold beers and plenty of fireworks, we rounded up a selection of patriotic sneakers released for the special occasion. Featuring the likes of Diadora, adidas, Vans and Reebok, the selection both add some flair into your summer rotation and help prepare you get ready for July 4 celebrations well ahead of time. MAJOR x Reebok Phase 1 Pro “Stars and Stripes”
Washington D.C.-based sneaker specialists MAJOR joined forces with Reebok for a patriotic rendition of the Phase 1 Pro. The two applied a lush suede upper to the retro tennis sneaker in a vibrant red colorway, which is accented with Stars & Stripes detailing along the heel tab, inner lining and lacing. A metallic gold side strip rounds out the vibrant design.

adidas Crazylight Boost 2016 “Liberties”
The Crazylight Boost 2016 made its debut just last week in a handful of colorways, receiving rave reviews for its lightweight construction and unmatched traction it provides on the hardwood. Now the Three Stripes releases the low-top basketball silhouette in a “Liberties” colorway, featuring a textured white and camoflage Primeknit upper which sits atop of a Boost midsole. As the posterboy of adidas Basketball, James Harden’s logo adorns the tongue while finishing touches are provided by mixed red and blue laces.

Diadora “Espresso Americano Independence” Pack
Despite not being as popular amongst sneakerheads, Diadora made a real statement by releasing the special edition “Espresso Americano Independence” pack. Comprised of red, white and blue colorways of the V7000, N9000 and S8000 silhouettes, all sneakers are built with full grain leather with mesh inserts for extra ventilation. Rounding out the design are multi-colored lurex laces.

Vans Authentic (Americana) – “Dress Blues”
Vans joins in on the patriotic releases with the unveiling of the Authentic “Dress Blues.” Dressed in a striped base and star-clad overlays, the canvas sneaker has always been a popular sneaker option for the warmer months and this special release should be no exception. Finished off with white lacing and a vulcanized sole, you can’t really go wrong with another pair of Vans in your collection.

Reebok Instapump Fury Red/White/Blue
The Reebok Instapump Fury rounds out our list in a more subtle colorway than the aforementioned releases. Featuring a predominantly navy base, with stylized white and red strokes, the timeless sneaker’s “Red, White and Blue” colorway would by no means look out of place for everyday wear.
