This Video Is a Passionate Ode to the Rare 1964 CitroëN 2CV Sahara
Only 694 of them were ever built.
Creative studio, Maison Vignaux just released a beautiful video detailing the background story of the rare 1964 CitroëN 2CV Sahara. In this poetic ode to the classic French automobile, we find out that only 694 of these machines were ever made. As a twin engine, all-wheel drive car, it was used to drive up the French Pyrénées mountains so that people can inspect the high altitude dams and hydropower plants built there. In fact, uneven terrains and unpredictable environments were its prime specialties. Furthermore, it was only last year that an unrestored 1961 Sahara was sold for €172,840 Euro (approximately $191,300 USD), a testament to the rarity and special quality of this car.
Watch the video above and soak in the beautiful, yet hard-to-reach places this ride can traverse.
