After All These Years, Tony Hawk's Still Got It
The Birdman revisits the 900, 17 years later.
It’s been 17 years since Tony Hawk, pro skater, pulled a 900-degree revolution mid-air at the 1999 X Games and changed the face of vert skating forever. Since then, skaters have gone above and beyond, with some landing the occasional 1080° in tournaments. That being said, the Birdman paved the way for mega-ramp skaters like Danny Way and Jake Brown and any other skater who dared defy gravity on skateboarding’s grandest stage. All that being said, it’s good to know that the skate legend, 48, can still pull off his most iconic trick and share a tender moment with his son to boot.
Check the video out above and then revisit the time Hawk tried to skate a cardboard deck.
