Flyknit Arrives on the Nike Air Max 90
The chunky classic sheds some pounds.
Riding on the coattails of the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit, the classic Air Max 90 gets its own turn with a Flyknit transmogrification. While the retro runner’s distinctive Air sole, lace stay inserts and heel tab remain untouched, the upper has been reengineered with Flyknit construction with Hyperfuse overlays on the mudguard and Swoosh branding. Previewed here in four colorways including the OG Infrared outfit, the traditionally chunky Air Max 90 has much to benefit from this lightweight and breathable Flyknit iteration when it releases later this year.
