Rejjie Snow, Astrid Andersen, Novelist & More Collaborate on Selfridges' "Shakespeare reCITED" Program
Bringing together hip-hop, poetry and fashion.
The Shakespeare reCITED event as organized by Selfridges, is a collaboration between rap and spoken word artists and those of London’s emerging fashion designers. The joint venture sees the likes of Novelist x New Future London, Krept & Konan x Astrid Andersen, James Messiah x Liam Hodges, Rejjie Snow & Little Simz x Life’s a Beach collaborate on limited-edition capsule collections. To be delivered in front of a live audience, each musical talent will reinterpret the lyricism and wordplay of Shakespeare, of which will be commissioned alongside a merchandise collection as so created by the attributing designer. The proceeds of each capsule will be generously donated to a charity of each pair’s choosing, all however, opting for organizations that help to benefit the livelihood of disadvantaged youth. The program will launch July 7 at Selfridge’s Oxford Street outpost.
