Fritz Hansen's VIA 57 Chair Is a Future Modernist Classic
Taking inspiration from iconic Scandinavian designer Arne Jacobsen.

As one of the newest landmark residential developments to grace the isle of Manhattan, VIA 57 West required furniture to populate its interior spaces that would echo the development’s magnitude. The result of a three-way collaboration between the developer, the Bjarke Ingels Group, design firm KiBiSi and furniture label Fritz Hansen, the VIA 57 chair draws on Arne Jacobsen’s ’60s-era furniture designs for Copenhagen’s Royal Hotel, and incorporates soft, plush lines, a dynamic tetrahedral construction and sparse Scandinavian design language for what is sure to become a future modernist classic. Now available online at Palette & Parlor for $2,756 USD each.
