Under Armour & NBA 2K Celebrate Steph Curry's 2nd NBA MVP Award With Limited Game Update
A proper celebration of perfection.
After becoming the first unanimous NBA MVP in the history of the league, Stephen Curry took the court against the Portland Trail Blazers to deliver an amazing performance off of an injury. Racking in a total of 40 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assist with an NBA record of 17 points in the overtime period of the Warrior’s Game 4 victory, Under Armour and 2K Sports took note of Curry’s electrifying performance and recently announced a special way to celebrate the shooter’s success.
Taking effect on May 12, Stephen Curry’s rating will be bumped up to a 99 for a limit of 30 hours (to coincide with his jersey number). The upgrade will begin at 3 p.m. PT (6 p.m. ET) and is a part of NBA 2K16‘s way to #BreakTheGame with many fans having an issue with Curry’s current in-game character to match his real-life talents.
Congrats @StephenCurry30 on back to back MVPs. @UABasketball & @NBA2K #BreakTheGame w/ 99 rating for 30 hrs starting THU 3PM PT to celebrate
