Taka Hayashi Gives the Vans Sk8-Hi & Classic Slip-On a "Nomad" Makeover
Hayashi’s high-end approach makes its way to two of Vans’ most iconic silhouettes.

Thanks to his penchant for Native American inspiration, luxurious materials, and premium craftsmanship, artist and designer Taka Hayashi has long been a go-to for Vans and its collaborative endeavors. Now, after making over the Sk8-Hi and Classic Slip-On alongside both Vans and Pendleton last winter, Hayashi is back at it, taking on the classic silhouettes once again for Spring/Summer 2016. Appearing under the Vault imprint as per usual, the new collab offers up “Nomad” looks for each shoe, constructing the high- and low-tops in buffed leather with bold color-blocking, tonal stitching, leather laces and perforated detailing throughout.
Retailing for $150 and $135 USD respectively, the Sk8-His and Slip-Ons are available now in both black and brown from Vault dealers like SSENSE.
