Pendleton x Taka Hayashi x Vault by Vans 2015 Fall/Winter Capsule Collection

Renowned for his high-end approach to sneaker design and immaculate attention to detail, artist and designer Taka Hayashi links up with Vans’ premium Vault by Vans label for a special collaborative collection this season. A custom Pendleton Wool blanket is the centerpiece of the capsule, and holds colorful tones and Southwestern-styled motifs inspired by Hayashi’s earlier paintings. Matching TH Slip-On LX and TH Sk8 Huarache LX models are hand-cut, hand-stitched and handcrafted from the same fine fabrics, so no two pairs are the same. With a moccasin-inspired aesthetic, saddle leather trim and embossed midsole wrap, this is one of the TH Slip-On LX’s most luxurious iterations to date. The TH Sk8 Huarache LX on the other hand, is a new Sk8-Hi silhouette reimagined by Hayashi that features a smoky suede exterior at the front with patterned quarter panels and an embellished, laser-etched heel counter.
