Following the successful launch of their “5TH DIMENSION” project back in 2010, Slam Jam and ASICS have teamed up once again to offer up their latest release in the form of this “6THPRLLL” collaboration. Inspired by a world that exists in another dimension, it is a darker version of the previous world found in “5TH DIMENSION.” By inverting the ASICS GEL-Lyte III 5TH DIMENSION, the result is a brand new and far more aggressive version of the same shoe, the ASICS GEL-Lyte III 6THPRLLL, where colors light up together with black and shades of grey. The culmination of this results in a moody photoshoot produced by Mustafa Sabbagh and a short film directed by Federico Zanghì, with art direction by Simone Valsecchi, who also created the masks seen by butchering the iconic sneaker and donning them on four ancient knights. This collaboration will also see a 7” vinyl containing the namesake track “6THPRLLL,” produced by DJ Khalab and DJ Hendrix, as well as a Zine of Mustafa Sabbagh’s photographic work.
