Make Beer Great Again With a Can of "America"

The King of Beers is undergoing a patriotic rebrand for the summer.

Between the Olympics and a presidential election, America is gearing up for a huge summer. Budweiser VP Ricardo Marques even went so far as to tell Co.Design that it “may be the most American summer ever,” so the King of Beers has gone the extra mile and decided to rebrand and rename its beer “America” for the summer months.

The beer cans’ original script has been swapped out with text from patriotic documents like the Pledge of Allegiance and the “Star-Spangled Banner,” while the brewer’s signature bow-tie livery remains the sole remaining indicator of the beer brand’s real name. This new strategy comes after the iconic beer brand has featured patriotic motifs during the summer months of years past.

It seems like there’ll be nothing more American than cracking into an ice cold six-pack of, well, America, this summer. Hit the comments section to let us know what you think of the rebrand and whether you think it’ll be enough to make Budweiser great again.
