"Beauty and the Beast" Teaser Trailer Is the Most Viewed in 24 Hours Since Release
Another classic Disney live-action remake.
Excitement inevitable ensues whenever Disney announces a live-action remake of one of its classic titles, but never before has a remake made this much of an impact within only 24 hours from its announcement. The iconic musical-animation Beauty and the Beast, which captured millions of fans back in 1991, will find its way on to the big screen again in March 2017 as a remake, starring British actors Emma Watson as Belle, and Dan Stevens as the Beast. The film’s teaser was originally released by Disney on Monday, and has since surpassed Star Wars: The Force Awakens in views, whose second teaser garnered 88 million views – 3.8 million less than BatB‘s 91.8 total within the first day of release. So it’s safe to say anticipation is at an all time high for Disney right now, who’s no stranger to the marketing scheme – Captain America: Civil War‘s teaser reached 61 million views, and Avengers: Age of Ultron at 34 million. Now we sit and wait for the second teaser to drop, followed by the inevitable slew of overexposing full trailers to come.
