NikeLab’s Free Huarache Carnivore Pays Homage to an OG

A nod to the original Air Carnivore.

More than two decades after its 1993 release, the funky Air Carnivore was was resurrected last year with NikeLab’s unique Free Huarache Carnivore — a hybrid that (as the name implies) couples a Free sole unit with an upper that melds the best qualities of the Huarache and aforementioned Carnivore. Now the silhouette is returning for Spring/Summer 2016, first in an “Obsidian” make-up and now in an “Emerald” nod to the OG Carnivore colorway. Decked out in the shoe’s emerald green and black color scheme, the SP release comes in leather and mesh while the OG’s sublimated print decorates both the midsole top line and embossed heel.

Finished with a touch of purple, the “Emerald” Free Huarache Carnivore — like its “Obsidian” counterpart — is set to hit NikeLab dealers worldwide come Thursday, April 14.
