The days of seeing Kobe Bryant on court are gone but that won’t stop fans from reminiscing about his best days. Prior to putting on the iconic purple and gold in Los Angeles, the young Black Mamba was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in 1996 and it’s safe to say that was a decision the organization still regrets to this day. This time around the Swoosh gives Kobe Bryant’s latest signature model some Charlotte flavor with its upcoming “Draft Day” colorway. Sporting the Hornets popular Blue Lagoon and Court Purple, the silhouette also swaps out the expected Flyknit upper for Engineered Mesh. The sneaker’s theme is closed out thanks to the day Kobe Bryant got drafted embroidered on the right heel of the shoe.

The Nike Kobe XI “Draft Day” will release on April 28 for a retail price of $160 USD at select retailers such as Livestock.
