Nike, Inc. Reveals Designs for World Headquarters
Inspired by human movement, speed and the strength and energy of competition.

Nike‘s brand mantra revolves around designing innovative products for its athletes. The same can be said for the design of the very space Nike does all its innovating in. The sports brand giant has recently revealed a series of renderings for the planned expansion of its World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. It is widely known that Nike prides itself on the capacity of ingenuity, functionality and innovativeness, which is why it equally prides itself on having the perfect environment to do so. As explained by Nike’s CEO, Mark Parker, “We relentlessly evolve how we inspire our own teams and design environments that foster chemistry and collaboration. Our expanding World Headquarters reflects the best of Nike’s culture — a place where we obsess the athlete and invent future products and experiences for consumers everywhere.” The proposed expansion is aimed to be completed by 2018, and adds approximately 3.2 million square feet to the existing space. While reinforcing the original campus, the new design stems from the inspiration of human movement, speed, and the strength and energy of competition, and also set to facilitate LEED Platinum Certification, which essentially means better for our environment.
