Buoyed by the success of Jiro Dreams of Sushi, director David Gelb went on to expand on the pursuit of chronicling the world’s finest chefs in original Netflix series Chef’s Table. Now, Gelb brings back more of the same luscious food cinematography in a second season of the documentary series. This season, the globe-trotting scope of Chef’s Table pays visits to everyone from Alex Atala of D.O.M. and Ana Roš of Hiša Franko, to Gaggan Anand of Gaggan, in the process unpacking the history, method and persona of these eminent chefs to discover exactly what it is that makes them so passionate in their chosen craft. With six full episodes this season along with another four special episodes following the world’s best French chefs, look for Chef’s Table to return to Netflix this May 27.
