'The New Yorker' Pays Homage to Prince with 'Purple Rain' Cover

Following the shocking news of Prince’s death, the world has responded with a myriad of tributes and honors. The first of probably many magazine covers has just been unveiled, coming from The New Yorker. Paying homage to Prince’s iconic Purple Rain album and song, the cover features an illustration by Bob Staake that is appropriately somber to mark the loss. This issue will be on newsstands May 2.
