Hedi Slimane was recently spotted at the Mayhoola for Investments office in Doha, Qatar, with many speculating that the designer is looking for investments to fund his own brand. The Qatari-based fund is reportedly also looking to expand its portfolio of fashion and luxury brands. It already controls Valentino and Italian menswear brand Pal Zileri, along with a stake in accessories label Anya Hindmarch. Slimane first discussed the possibility of launching his own eponymous brand after he resigned from YSL in 2000, eventually signing on to Dior and founding Dior Homme.
