Rolex Introduces New Steel Daytona With a Black Cerachrom Bezel
Rolex unveils one of its best Daytonas to date.

As HODINKEE founder Ben Clymer points out, Rolex lovers have been waiting on a show-stopping Cosmograph Daytona ever since the timepiece’s 50th anniversary celebration back in 2013 — and now we have it in the form of 2016’s reference number 116500LN: a steel Daytona with a black ceramic bezel. Available with either a black or white dial, the clean piece retains the Daytona’s usual 40mm case and caliber 4130 while the Cerachrom bezel isn’t only scratch-proof, but also corrosion-resistant and impervious to UV rays, too (so its patina won’t fade over time).
Though availability is still unknown, the watch is set to retail for CHF 11,800 (approximately $12,185 USD).
