The PRO-Keds Royal Brings Camo and Cordura to a Classic Basketball Sneaker
Take it back to the days of the Minnesota Lakers.

Keds’ PRO-Keds line was a fixture in the NBA back in the days of the Minneapolis Lakers, when star big man George Mikan introduced the kicks to the world as he led the Lakeshow to five championships in the ’40s and ’50s. Keds then went on to recruit Nate “Tiny” Archibald, “Pistol” Pete Maravich and Johnny Bench as athletic spokesmen.
So it should come as no surprise, then, that Keds has recently revamped the PRO-Keds Royal with a refined fit, a durable canvas upper and gum outsole for a modern take on the sporty classic. The open cell foam molded footbed provides improved breathability fit for an active lifestyle, while the contrast stitching and the brand’s signature red Powerstripes along the off-white midsole provide some tasteful detailing. The new PRO-Keds Royal is available in camo, classic canvas and Cordura styles in both high- and low-top variations.
The kicks drop at select retailers on March 14.
