Ian David Baker x J.W.Anderson Hoodies
Featuring the photographer’s famous black and white photographs of ’80s youth culture.
The graphic hoodie will never die, or so it seems. This season Northern Irish designer J.W.Anderson kicks off a new collection of apparel, a range of scarves, and an art book with renowned photographer Ian David Baker that emphasizes the power of creative collaborations through his platform, Jonathan Anderson Workshops. Standout pieces from the project are the Candy Floss Boy Hoodie (white) and Montage VI Hoodie (black) — two very cozy garments made of 100% cotton that are each emboldened by two large, raw edged printed patches at the back that feature Baker’s distinct black and white photographs, each manifesting themes of surf and youth culture of the ’80s. Simple “J.W.ANDERSON” logos have been stitched over the left breast in contrast colors.
The Ian David Baker x J.W.Anderson Candy Floss Boy Hoodie and Montage VI Hoodie are now available for purchase online for $280 USD each. Check out the 2016 spring/summer David Sims x Raf Simons “Isolated Heroes” collection for similar apparel options with the black and white graphic aesthetic.
