'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Will Be Shown in New York's First Seat-Shaking 4DX Theaters
4D resolution and environmental effects that are synced to the film itself.
Moviegoers in the Big Apple are in for a treat later this month: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to hit New York City’s first-ever 4DX theaters. Set to be the first film to take advantage of the 4DX-enabled screens at Regal Cinemas’ Union Square location, Batman v Superman‘s immersive experience will not only feature 4D imagery, but environmental effects that are synced to the film — including “motion-activated seats, wind, fog, rain, lightning, vibration, snow, and scents.” The film will also hit Regal Cinemas’ E-Walk 13 come April 28.
The New York City opening follows that of 4DX theaters in both Los Angeles and Chicago, where Dawn of Justice is also set to take advantage of the technology.
Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will hit theaters March 25.
