Patta Takes Cues From Anime to Customize the ASICS GEL-Respector
The Amsterdam favorite takes the GEL-Respector back to its Japanese roots.
Amsterdam’s Patta has officially taken the wraps off of its latest collaboration with ASICS — the first co-branded effort between the two since 2011’s GEL-Saga. Going back to ASICS’ Japanese roots, the collaborative GEL-Respector — which first surfaced late last year — takes cues from the likes of anime, tropical fish and mythological creatures. The result is a combination of perforated grey nubuck and premium methyl blue suede with flame orange stripes and marine green accents. Additional details include 3M underlays beneath the stripes, custom Patta-branded tongue pulls, embossed logos at the heels, custom sock liners, and both flat and rope lace options.
The special GEL-Respector is set to hit Patta February 27 before making its way to additional ASICS stockists at a later yet-to-be-announced date.
