However, as part of Converse’s CONS Project which aims to foster DIY culture amongst the skate community, Pennsylvania-based skater and woodworker Andy Vasquez has made a living out of transforming otherwise unwanted pieces of wood into useful, and even covetable pieces of furniture. Here, he walks us through a quick demonstration of how to easily transform some unloved decks into a simple yet appealing stool that can serve you for many more years to come, albeit in a less injury-prone way.
