ASICS GT-II "Chili"
An underrated silhouette in chili pepper red with seasonal construction to boot.
Given the likes of the GEL-Lyte III and GEL-Lyte V, it’s understandable that the GT-II flies under the radar. Nonetheless, the silhouette is often the canvas for some awesome make-ups, including last year’s white/light grey colorway and — perhaps most notably — Ronnie Fieg’s coveted “Rose Gold” and “Super Red 2.0” designs. Now the kicks are back in yet another make-up worthy of its classic look. Ditching the usual suede and leather construction, this particular GT sports seasonally necessary ripstop nylon throughout, pairing the material with a bold chili red colorway, multicolored laces and black accents.
Capped off with a white GEL-cushioned midsole, this solid iteration of the GT-II is available now at stockists like Tokyo’s atmos.
