adidas's Aurora Borealis Triple White Collection Only Reveals Its True Colors at Night

While Toronto readies itself to host the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities, adidas is gearing up for a release inspired by the Great White Northern Lights that shine over Canada’s territories. The Aurora Borealis Collection sees the D Lillard 2 and T-MAC 3 joining the James Harden PE in receiving an all-white makeover that glows under the night sky while the faux fur detailing is a nod toward the chilly climate and fashion sense of the Canadian sense. The Lillard 2 incorporates blue hits on the heel and outsole that meet a gradient green fade along the upper once the sun goes down. The T-MAC 3 commemorates Tracy McGrady’s time both as a Raptors player from 1997 to 2000, as well as his infamous appearance at the 2004 All-Star Game in Los Angeles, where he wore two different colored sneakers. The shoe’s colored outsoles hint at the gradients that remain hidden during the day. All of the pairs go on sale for $150 USD starting February 11 and will be available on adidas.com, Foot Locker and Eastbay.
