Tony Hawk Explains Why He Chose Vert Over Street Skating
As he sits atop his million dollar vert ramp.
Although widely considered one of, if not the most successful and influential vert skaters of all time, Tony Hawk was also a savage on the street skating scene early in his career. The four-wheeling legend competed in some street comps in the early ’90s, in addition to some parts in his own Birdhouse videos, and then it was strictly vert. So while The Berrics were in town interviewing Hawk for their upcoming The L.A.
