Cricket Player Clobbers Ball Onto Stadium's Roof
Oh, hey, it’s cricket on HYPEBEAST.
If you thought “Hey, this is the first time I’m seeing cricket on HYPEBEAST,” then you’re wrong. Surprisingly, we featured the inspiring youth Compton Cricket Club way back in 2013, and rightfully so. What this story lacks in inspiration, it makes up for it with downright, jaw-dropping impressiveness. Now, we don’t consider ourselves cricket experts, but smacking the ball clean out of the grounds and onto stadium’s — the Gabba in Australia — roof is pretty spectacular, especially when you consider Chris Lynn had to catch up to Shaun Tait’s 148km/hr heater.
As an added entertainment bonus, the second best part of this video is when one commentator refers to the ball as “the wild thing.”
Again, impressive, but Lynn’s monstrous 121-meter six falls short of Australian Brett Lee’s 143-meter strike in 2005 at the Gabba.
