How Cricket Changed the Lives of Youth In Compton

Cricket isn’t the first to call to mind when Compton is mentioned. With that in mind, what Ted Hayes and Katy Haber achieved with Compton Cricket Club is even more astounding. With an ambition to change the social decay within Los Angeles, Haber’s work with the homeless transcended to projects in Dome Village – a self-governed homeless shelter in downtown LA — which in turn molded the Compton Cricket Club. The club and workshop was conceived with the aim of keeping kids off drugs and violence.
