A First Look at the NES: Classic Edition Shows a "Pixel Perfect" Experience
The demand is so high that most outlets have already sold out.
Nintendo’s NES: Classic Edition became officially available today, November 11, to such high demand that most outlets have already seen their stock depleted within minutes. If you haven’t gotten your hands on yours yet but were interested to see how it ran, The Verge has released a video overlook on just how polished the system really is. From the 30 games that are included, to the ease of use — the Classic Edition supports HDMI right out of the box — the retro console works exactly how you would imagine it would. Traditional wares aside, the new system also includes on-the-spot “suspend” saving and display modes that perfect viewing or mimic antique CRT technology for the ultimate nostalgia trip.
Check out the overview above and good luck trying to secure your system before Christmas.
