Earlier this year, Netflix announced that it would expand its partnership with Dreamworks and launch a new animated series titled Trollhunter. Created by visionary director Guillermo Del Toro, the kid-friendly series sees a different side of the filmmaker, more known for his work in horror and dark fantasy pieces. The plot centers around a group of friends who discover a magical world and impart on a battle to protect good trolls from evil ones. Luckily, we still see Del Toro’s imaginative work at play, from the extraordinary visuals to the adventure-driven storyline. The voice of the main character, Jim, was voiced by the late Anton Yelchin who sadly passed away in June, and also features Charlie Saxton, Kelsey Grammer and Ron Perlman. Watch the trailer above and catch Trollhunters on Netflix starting Dec. 23.
