Microsoft Is Redesigning Its Paint App for 3D Support
The Windows 10 upgrade will see more advanced features for the archaic tool.
While Microsoft’s Paint is probably the least likely of all programs to be associated with innovation, the tech giant is looking to change that notion with its upcoming release. The latest Windows 10 version gives a complete overhaul of the age-old tool, especially by integrating 3D object support. The new “Paint Preview” app mimics some familiar functions of the original program, but adds a variety of brushstrokes and stickers within a stylus-friendly interface. Intuitive touch features from the Surface are also incorporated into the revamped version, making it easy for artists and novices alike to create and execute a range of projects. With Microsoft’s fall launch event scheduled for Oct. 26, it’s likely that the new Paint app will be released then. Take a look at the video above to see the interface, and watch below for a demo of Paint Preview’s impressive capabilities.
